On November 2nd, 2001 we lost a very special loved one in an
unfortunate accident that occurred during a hunting trip . Dewayne, 39, was
born on May 14, 1962.
He lived his life as
if there were no tomorrow. He had a fiery spirit and sparked all those
around him with his energy and love for life. DeWayne will be remembered
for his infectious smile, gentle strength and steadfast friendships. His
light and spirit will live on in his daughter, __ *, who shares his love
of the mountains and mirrors her dad's quick smile.
All those who knew "the Wehrenator"
will cherish the memories of his
mischievous pranks, good-natured teasing, and the countless broken bones
resulting from his attempts to impress the ladies. He loved to ride
"anything with wheels" and would head for the mountains every chance he
got. There he found a peace and beauty that would live in his heart
forever. DeWayne loved to hike to high mountain lakes, hunt with his
buddies, ride 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, and bask in the sun. Those who
knew him can still envision him fishing in his underwear, trying to capture
both trout and a tan.
DeWayne recently had told friends and loved ones that this was the happiest
time in his life. He was always quick with an "I love you" and cherished
every day that he spent with his loved ones. He recently had come to
realize the preciousness of life and seldom attempted his former daredevil
stunts.
DeWayne worked at
Micron Technologies for the past fifteen years.
DeWayne is with his
mother, DeFayne Wehren, and is survived by his precious daughter, _ *
Wehren (4 ½ years old); his father, John Fairbanks; stepfather, Richard
"Dick" Wehren; two brothers, Mike Wehren and Ralph Fairbanks; a sister,
Becky Alexander; and the love of his life, Kara Hill. He will be deeply
missed by all.
DeWayne's family and friends would like to
invite you to celebrate his life and keep his spirit alive by sharing our
memories. Please join us on Wednesday, November 7th, 3:00 p.m. at Summers
Funeral Home, 3629 E.Ustick, for services. |
